Wall report March 2024
Initial inspection of retaining walls and tops of brick or iron was carried out in April 2023
by Barbara Baker and Steve Sayce.
Action started November 2023 - Update was provided January 2024
Current situation: concerning painting the brick tops of retaining walls and brick
boundary walls, 3 properties remain. Casa 9 owner ignores requests, casa 8 is to be
notified, casa 7 owner disagrees that the wall needs painting.
Casa 36 and 30 - These properties were visited in January by Kerry Krause, Veronica, a
representative from Desherman and the owners of the 2 casas. A report was presented
to Cls board by Kerry and can be seen on the ‘wall’ page on the website. Further to this
Kerry advised that the Desherman rep. said the drainage from casa 36 pump house
was not done correctly when built. It is understood that he undertook for Desherman
workers to correct this. Veronica has the details and could be requested to follow this
up.
The item in the original report concerning large rocks fallen out of various walls is to be
done by Antonio. He has told me – next week, maybe.
It is not expected that the wall committee will carry out another inspection because the
vast majority of owners are keeping these walls in good repair.
In the Wall report of January 2024, it was pointed out that the wall on the east side of
the main road needs attention.
