Donna's service providers list

trash   (the cost of pickup is covered by your condo fee)
     - must be held in lidded containers and hidden from street view except on collection day
     - pickup usually happens late on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays

pets   must be walked on a leash on Common Area streets only
     - do not allow your pet anywhere in the Clubhouse/gym/pool or landscaped area around them
     - you must pick up any and all debris left by your pet anywhere !
     - medical, grooming, training, socializing, and walking service providers are available nearby. 
         (your pet-owning neighbours will be happy to provide advice and contacts)

recycling   is available by drop-off at various containers around Ajijic. 
       At various times (schedule & exact address unknown), recycling can be dropped off at the depot just west of La Pueblita.

sewer   is a Chapala municipality service
         - you must pay annually at the Simapa office in Ajijic (January)

propane gas   is provided by several companies which deliver to your tank by pump truck
       - you must pay in cash on delivery - bargaining sometimes works

property taxes  are payable to the Chapala Municipality
     - you must pay annually at Chapala City Hall (January)

mail   - the gate guards receive mail for all Residents.  It is held at the Gate until you pick it up.  Look for your casa number on the gatehouse window.  Outgoing mail is the responsibility of the sender
     * Courier sending services are provided by FedEx and DHL at several locations.  
     * Courier deliveries may or may not be left at the Gate House ... we don't know why or why not it sometimes works.

Aguinaldo - if you employ anyone (usually a maid or gardener) on a regular basis (full-or-part-time), you must pay them an annual Aguinaldo by December 20th.  This is not a voluntary "Christmas bonus" or gift; it is a payment required by law.

satellite TV   - several options are available through local suppliers and neighbours (e.g. Shaw).  Note that dish installation is strictly regulated in the Bylaws through the Architecture Committee and requires the approval of the Administrative Council.

transportation
     - buses   are frequent in both directions on the street in front of Los Sabinos
     - taxis   as recommended by your neighbours

     - drivers licence   office is at Oficina de Licencias, at the south end of Cristiana Park on the Ramon Corona loop behind the Colegio del Lago at 37 Ramon Corona (look for bright green signs at the west end of the huge parking lot)

     - traffic tickets   are payable at the Recaudadora 26 (Jalisco state collections office) in Chapala, at 306 Calle Delgado, about 100 m. walk west from the north end of Cristiana Park (yes, walk ... it's a one-way street going east)
